Techies!

TECHIES: Interested in Playfest? We're doing it a little differently this time around. Instead of interest forms, we are using several classes to support Playfest and the Spring Musical. This means you get dedicated class time to work on the show, and credit towards graduation. Sign up for TA 129 if you are interested in Sets. Sign up for TA 226 if you are interested in Costumes, Props, Lights, and/or Sound.  Stage Managers: reach out to Jessie directly. TA 216: Stage Management is running this spring and strongly recommended for anyone interested in stage managing at Clark.  If you have already spoken to Kevin about joining us for Playfest without joining a class, reach out to Jessie Darrell Jarbadan: jdarrell@clarku.edu so that we can make sure that you are included in all communications while Kevin is on medical leave.

Auditions for Playfest 2024 are happening Dec 4th! Read below for more information:

Auditions for Playfest 2024 will be held on Monday, December 4th  in the Little Center Theatre from 6-9 pm.  Please sign up for a slot at the link below and pick one or two excerpts from the sides (attached).    https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSczbN_t-UYX-a0F4hownS4QR13oBfaWpRXZPUnGnn45J4H7gQ/viewform?usp=sf_link   There are over 20 roles available!     You will be auditioning for all three directors and playwrights at once.  Sometimes you might audition for one show, but you'll end up cast in something else.  You probably will be paired up with another actor auditioning for another play.  Be prepared to stick around for a while (don’t worry, it’s a fun audition and it always works out)    We’ll have printed copies of the sides at the auditions.  This year, we are producing 3 plays:     Dreamballs   by Honey Snyder, directed by Nat Solomon   ...

Have you heard about KCACTF? Info link for the Spring 2024 Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival conference

Every late Jan/early Feb, the Clark TA program heads off for a few days of immersive theatre learning and networking with other theater students in the New England Region. This trip has limited space and TA majors and minors have priority, however, there have been years when students from other majors and minors who were heavily involved in theatre are also able to attend.  It is already time to start thinking about if you would like to attend this trip and putting together your pitch to the TA program for why you need to go this year! Spots are limited, and more information about how to get on the list and get registered will be coming out soon.  In the meanwhile, here is a link to sign up for informational emails about the conference:  Student Opportunities (kcactfregion1.org) Check out the student opportunities on the drop-down menu at that link for deadlines and how to submit your applications. MANY DEADLINES ARE IN THE FALL SEMESTER. If you are interested, and you ha...
