Spring Musical Auditions and Show announcement

 

The Spring TA Program Musical will be “Songs for a New World” by Jason Robert Brown.


This production is done as a course and requires an audition to join as a performer. 

Auditions – TA 218 Musical Theatre Practicum – Thursday Nov 2nd, 6-9pm Little Center. 

Room TBD: Either Classroom or Experimental. Stay Tuned.


Please prepare a 60-90 second song selection and a 1 minute monologue. Arrive 10-15 minutes early and bring the sheet music for your audition song with you for the pianist. Sign up sheet HERE

 

More information on the TA Spring Musical: 

How will the class function? Register for TA 218 upon being cast and get voice lessons, or you can audit without voice lesson option. 

What if I audition but am not cast? If you audition and are not cast, but want to be involved with the musical, register for TA 129: Scenic Design to work on the set and scenic (lights and/or sound assistant) aspects of the production, or register for TA 226: Advanced Production Projects: Musical to work on the costumes, SM, and props aspects of the production. 

What is the class schedule for TA 218? Tuesdays 2:50-5:50, with additional rehearsals starting after Spring Break. The full production schedule will be posted by the end of Fall classes if not sooner. 

What is the tech and show schedule?  Tech is April 18-24, and the shows are Thursday April 25 @7pm, Friday April 26th @ 7pm, Saturday April 27th @ 7pm and closing Sunday April 28th @ 2pm.
