On-Stage Intimacy Workshop: October 21st (THIS SATURDAY!!)
Many plays have scenes where characters are expressing love or physical intimacy. Holding hands. Hugs. Stage Kisses. Physical closeness.
Would you like to learn more about how to work on those scenes where two or more characters come into physical contact?
Would you like to learn some tools and techniques for how to make space for honest conversations around consent in theatrical work and how to engage in blocking these types of scenes in a collaborative and respectful way?
Kate Montcrief from WPI, a certified intimacy coordinator, will be joining us in the Michelson Theatre on Sat October 21st for a workshop in theatrical intimacy from noon to 1pm. Learn terms and practices to set ground rules, negotiate and plan out the mechanics of blocking these types of scenes.
This workshop is free and open to any Clark Student.
Please note: this workshop is meant to introduce the theatre or film practitioner to these practices, not to replace the input from a certified professional.
Space is limited, so please use the link below to sign up.
